Working with word (2 part course)
Discover how to create, edit, view, save and print documents using the world's most popular word processing software Microsoft Word. Divided into two manageable sections with glossary and practical learning tasks, these lessons build confidence for the application of almost any other program. Excellent base for letter writing or novel writing using a computer as well as those in administration roles.
Guide to photo's
Learn how to upload photos from your camera or phone quickly and easily; how to do some basic photo editing; how to save, retrieve, file, sort and print. A great excuse to dig out the old hard drive and finally make something of all those memories!
Working with email
A basic guide to sending and receiving message electronically, this lesson is a logical followup from Working with Word. Discover the importance of organising contacts and folders and learn the not-so-tricky art of attachments. One of the simplest and widest used methods of communications.
Guide to Skype
Learn how to connect with family and friends over the internet face to face. A step by step guide delivered in plain English by a friendly and helpful trainer. Complete with practical learning tasks the Guide to Skype is a really fun course that opens participants up to whole new way of keeping in touch!

Social Media is not only a fun way to keep in touch, find old friends and meet new people but can also be a wonderful business tool or promotion platform for community or charity organisations. The Guide to Facebook is a comprehensive and interactive course designed to get you started and discover all the tips and tricks of the number one social media network.

Learn to use Microsoft Excel. Designed for students with at least a basic working knowledge of the computer.

** Open Forum is a new type of lesson I am trialing. Perhaps you only have 1 or 2 questions about a doing something on the computer and don’t need a whole lesson. Eg How to attach a photo to an email. This gives you the chance to come along and ask a couple of questions.
$5 pp for the Open Forum – although to make it worthwhile I will need about 10 people. Bring a friend along. You may find that someone else asks questions you had not thought of and realise you also wanted to know. Please note this is not for me to solve problems on the computer relating to hardware - Please speak to the technicians in the store.
